Welcome to my "blog". I'm not sure what I hope to accomplish by it. I guess I wanted somewhere to air my thoughts. In a sort of private way, yet in a public forum. All in all I want this to be a diary of my journey as I seek to follow Jesus. Maybe it'll provide a method for reflection that will help me clarify what it means to follow Him on His terms and not on my own. I have this great fear that Christians/churches have completely missed the boat. We've developed a culture trying to support people on the journey and then have traded the culture for the journey. Not sure how to stop that without destroying the culture. Anyway, I've got lots of things floating in my head and I'm hoping that this will help me to sort some of them out...
Reflections on the quest to follow Jesus on His terms instead of my own...
Let's begin with some honesty...
"I fully realize that I've not succeeded at answering all your questions. Indeed I feel that I've not answered any of them completely. The answers I have found only work to raise a whole new set of questions which only lead to more questions - some of which we weren't even aware were problems in the first place. To sum up -- in some ways I feel that we are as confused as ever, but I do believe that we are confused on a higher level and about more important things."
